Undefeated in the preliminary round, the Minor Atom AE Thunder will be moving on to the OMHA quarter finals against the Southpoint Capitals.
After a couple of close games, Thunder finished off the preliminary round against Caledon in front of a home crowd. Losing 2-1 with a minute left in the 3rd period, the team rallied and scored to tie the game with 36 seconds left sending it to OT.
Caledon fought hard, but Thunder fought back and managed to put it in the net for a 3-2 victory to clench the round.

The Minor Atom AE team travelled to Ottawa this past weekend to compete in the Bell Sensplex Capital Mid-Season Showdown.

After giving up only 2 goals the whole tournament, the Minor Atom AE Thunder earned the championship title this afternoon against Hamilton. Hard work by all on the team helped shut out the London Hawks 4-0 and Flamborough Sabres 8-0 in round robin play.
Richmond Hill battled hard, but the Thunder kept rolling to a 2-1 victory to send them to the championship game against Hamilton.
Another exciting game led the Minor Atom AE's to their first tournament win of the season with a 2-1 win over Hamilton.
