Halton Hills Thunder Minor Atom AE Team makes it to the finals!
Through lots of snow the Thunder came and showed what hard work and determination can do…
This tournament was for Atom (minor and major) and the Thunder were the youngest of the pack. The tournament started with a loss against Midland Centennials (2 – 5), followed by a win against Penetang Flames (3 – 1). It then was followed by a win against Niagara-on-the-Lake Wolves (6 – 3) and onto the semifinals!
We won a hard fought battle in the semifinals against the Dorchester Dragons 3 - 2.
The Championship game against The Midland Centennials was held in Collingwood’s Eddie Bush Memorial Arena, special guests included the Mayor of Collingwood Sandra Cooper, former NHL player and current Battle of the Blades champion Scott Thornton. Although we lost to a very good Midland team (0 – 4), Team Thunder should be proud of their tremendous accomplishment appearing in the tournament final! Here is a video link of some great moments…

Game 2 vs. Penetang Flames (2 – 1): Goals by Evan, Michael and assist by Marcos.
Game 3 vs. Niagara-on-the-Lake Wolves (6 – 3): Goals by Riley, Mitchell, Michael (2), Chase (2) and assists by Melissa, Noah, Michael, Mitchell, Erik, Evan and Kyle.
Game 4 vs. Dorchester Dragons (3 – 2): Goals by Michael (2), Erik and assists by Evan, Erik and David.
