Novice, 2013-2014, BB (Halton Hills Minor Hockey)

Perfect end to an almost perfect season, the Novice AE Thunder swept Markham 3 games straight to take be the first Halton Hills Thunder team to win an OMHA Championship!! The kids liked to keep the parents in suspense, losing the lead to eventually win in OT, but every player out there gave 110% to bring home the Championship. Thanks to all the parents for their support and thanks to everyone for such a great season!

Patience. Persistance. Hard work. Those are just a few of the characteristic traits the Novice AE team has continued since the beginning of the season, and what has kept them alive in a nail biting road to the OMHA Finals!!

Nothing could stop the Halton Hills Novice AE Thunder as they rolled into Belle River this past weekend to take part in the Randy Merten/Dan Holland Hockey Tournament. Three solid wins in the round robin vs Windsor (5-2) Belle River (8-4) and Stoney Creek (4-1) gave them a bye to the semi-finals on Sunday morning.  Defeating Lasalle 5-1 in the semi's on Sunday morning, the Novice AE team stayed stong and defeated Windsor to win the Championship 4-1!! The Novice AE Thunder took to the streets of Acton this past weekend as Santa's little helpers led by the head ELF himself!  Coach Dan, dressed in his finest elf attire, marched in front of the team to help ring in the Christmas season!! (Nice legs Dan!)

After the first taste of defeat this hockey season, the Novice AE's preferred to be tasting turkey dinner's with GOLD around their neck!!  Losing the first game of the tournament to Kitchener 6-4, the team saved their best efforts to defeat Kitchener in the gold medal game to bring home the second tournament win of the season!!  Once again a solid team effort brought the team success taking the victory at their home town tournament!!  Great job Thunder!!
