Minor PeeWee AE, 2019-2020, BB (Halton Hills Minor Hockey)

The Minor PeeWee AE Thunder went undefeated in their five games this past weekend to become the Thunder Memorial Tournament champions. The boys aggressive attack, relentless defending, and stellar netminding were on display all weekend. Special thanks to all those that came out to cheer on our Minor PeeWee AE Thunder!!! Our Minor PeeWee AE players and families took their tenacious work ethic and dedication to task for their community over two days. On Saturday November 30, our Thunder family took shifts at the Metro in Georgetown promoting and collecting donations to the Georgetown Breadbasket. In total, the food drive collected 1330 lbs of food and $1432 in donations. On Monday December 2, our Thunder families sorted and packaged food donation items at the Georgetown Breadbasket. Great work Minor PeeWee AE Thunder family!!!

When our Minor PeeWee AE team heard about the situation that Reese Meyer was in, they knew they had to do something. After reaching out to the team manager of the Caledon Hawks Minor Bantam AE team (who Reese plays for), our team knew exactly what had to be done. Our hockey family stepped up and collected $1110 for the Meyer family. Our boys also sent Reese a video wishing him well. We have no doubt Reese will be back on the ice and we look forward to his return. 

Our Minor PeeWee AE team participated in the Conquer Cancer Ball Hockey Tournament in Georgetown hosted by the Georgetown Raiders Jr A Team. The boys had a blast playing ball hockey and cheering on other Halton Hills Thunder teams - all for a great cause. Well done Minor PeeWee AE Thunder!
