Win streak ended by Niagara!
The Sunny Acre Farms midgets had their 4 game win streak ended by Niagara Falls 3-2 yesterday afternoon by Niagara Falls.
Niagara Falls scored first after a defensive zone mistake left a Flyer unattended in front of the net. The Flyers went up 2-0 midway through the second after a faceoff loss allowed a pointshot which was deflected in front.
Jeremy Roach scored on a rebound, from Tyler Skilling to get the Thunder close. Then Nick Boshart on the powerplay scored a high blocker shot to tie the game 2-2. Unfortunately Niagara retook a 3-2 lead before the end of the second scoring on a rebound.
The Thunder did have it's chances in the third but were unable to score, the game ended 3-2. The loss proved to be costly as the Thunder dropped from 4th to 6th in the very tight Bowen division.
Next up for the Thunder is a game tonight vs. Orangeville, 9:00pm Alcott.
