Moulton Shuts out Niagara Falls!!
The Sunny Acre Farms Midgets played the second game in as many nights vs Niagara Falls last night at Alcott. The visiting Flyers had no answer for Halton Hills netminder Zach Moulton poised and ready when called upon, earning his second shutout of the season in a 2-0 win.
After a scoreless first period Thunder forward Nick Molinaro forechecked hard on the Niagara defense and passed in front to Jacob Harbinson who burried a shot high to the top corner for the 1-0 lead at the intermission.
The third period saw the Thunder check the Niagara Falls team closely and seemed to frustrated them into taking a couple undisciplined penalties. Conor Fisken made them pay scoring his first of the year on the Power play from Jeff Brown and Molinaro. After the goal the penalty kill came up big killing off a late double minor to earn the win, moving Hilton Hills back into a third place, 1 point up on Caledon in the Bowen division standings.
Next game is Monday night at 9:00pm vs. Guelph at Alcott
