Thunder open playoffs with 5-2 win!
The Sunny Acre Farms Midgets opened the round robin portion of the playoffs last night with a 5-2 victory over the visiting Center Wellington Fusion. Thunder foreward Matt Hodgins fresh back from holidays had two goals and an assist, while linemates Ryan Howard scored the winner +1assist and Dylan Sargent had two assists. The game was much closer than the final score indicates with Center Wellington taking a 2-1 lead early in the third before Quinn Harding tied it at two from Chase Pries and Drew Hillock, which seemed to be the spark they needed.
No rest for the Midgets as they head to Stoney Creek tomorrow for a game with the Warriors, 7:30 pm start time at Valley Park.
