Midgets couldn't hold the lead in third.
The Sunny Acre Farms Midgets had a 2-1 lead over Stoney Creek entering the third period last night at Alcott. The Warriors were able to capitalize on two Thunder turnovers and won the game 3-2. Although the loss doesn't cost the team in the standings, and they played a tough, disciplined game, the result is not what they wanted to end the regular season with.
With three players out it was nice to see three alternate players step in and contribute, Austin Tully, Nicholas Aquilina, and Adam Smith stepped in and played a regular shift for the team, and can expect to be called on again.

Starting off the scoring was sniper Chase Pries, as he went "bar dizzle" with a wrist shot from the slot, apples going to Quinn Harding, and Matthew Ormond. After Stoney Creek tied the game up Brodie Briscoe with just three seconds left in the second period, from Ryan Howard.
The Thunder now wait for the regular season to wrap up to see who else will end up in group three (3rd, 4th Halton Hills,  7th Center Wellington, and 10th) to start the round robin portion of the playoffs.
