Thunder take in game 1!
The MMAA Thunder hosted Brampton in game one of the Tri-County semi final last night in front of a big enthusiastic crowd at MoldMasters. Notorious for their slow start, The Thunder switched things up and grabbed a 2-0 first period lead on two high glove shots from Nolan Cree and Bryce Hillock. Cree scored "top cheese" after taking a breakaway feed from Dylan Verboon and Silvio Tedesco, while Hillock did the same after he took a pass in the slot from Ben Mondou and Ethan Valade.
The second period started with Halton Hills keeping up the pace and scoring two more times First Jack Reid from Stu McDonald and Justin Leblanc. Then Reid set up Nick Theim with a nice pass on a 2on1 to give The Thunder a commanding 4-0 lead.

After Brampton called a time out to regroup, they started to get scoring chances and Thunder netminder Josh Emmerson was up for the test, he was busy, stopping 25 of 26 shots and a key part of a 4-1 victory.

Game was a fast paced, physical game with two pretty evenly matched teams playing hard to win! Looking foreward to game 2 which is set for Saturday afternoon, 3:20pm at Archdieken Arena.
