GARDEN CITY AA MINOR ATOM FINALIST
The Minor Atom AA Thunder played in the Garden City Early Bird Tournament this weekend. The Thunder lost their opening game 4-1 to the Niagara Falls Flyers and then finished off the round robin with three straight wins. The Thunder defeated Mississauga North Stars 8-4, Garden City Falcons 3-2 and then shutout the Flamboro Sabres 4-0. The Thunder faced Niagara Falls in the final and came out strong and worked hard the entire game but came up short and lost 4-1. The weekend saw the boys come together as a team and now they have their sights set on a strong start to the regular season.
