The first tournament of the year was a hard fought battle for the Tyke 2 Thunder. There may not have been as many “W”’s on the score-sheet as we would have liked, but there was no shortage of hard-work, perseverance and team spirit.
Each game carried only a 1 or 2 goal differential, which is an accomplishment to be proud of. Keep up the good work boys!

The boys played the Caledon Hawks for the first time in regular season play on November 17 with great success.
The final score of 9-1 displays the hard work on the part of our offence and defence.
Keep up the good work boys!
There was also some activity happening off-ice. A big THANK
YOU is sent out to the organizers of the Halton Hills Thunder Tyke 2 fundraiser held on November 16 – Angelique, Barbara and Rhoni.
Great job organizing such a fun event!
As well, thank you to all the volunteers who helped out to ensure the evening was a success.

What a week the Tyke 2 Thunder have had!
Starting with a road trip to Burlington on November 7 ending in a 6-2
win over the Burlington Eagles. This was followed by back to back home
game wins on November 9 against the Garden City Minor
Falcons (3-1) and November 10 against the Guelph Gryphons (9-2)
What’s the recipe for success?
1 part tenacious forwards
1 part solid defence
1 part great goaltending

Victory
came the second time after playing Burlington, the only team to beat
the Tyke 2 Thunder in regular season games. With a 5-2 win, the boys
demonstrated the passing and shooting skills they have been working on
in practice.
Keep up the good work!

BACK TO BACK WEEKEND WINS!
Way to Go…
The Tyke 2 team had back to back wins
over the weekend. A come from behind win against the Garden City Minor
Falcons on Saturday ended in a score of 8-4. A true team effort shone
through with many players contributing to the
goal count. Sunday’s game against the Milton Winterhawks was another
hard fought battle, with the Tyke 2 team getting the victory with the
3-2 win. A nail biter to the very end, the team worked hard and it paid
off.
Congratulations to all the players and coaches.
