Halton Hills Minor Hockey Special Hockey Program

Halton Hills Minor Hockey is excited to introduce a new hockey program for those who are in need of a supportive and positive introduction to the game of hockey. The program is open to boys and girls between 13 and 20 years of age, who has a special need, but wish to learn and play hockey.

The goal of this program is to emphasize fun, love of hockey, social skills, hockey skill development, sportsmanship and teamwork. For the 2019-20 season:

  • Maximum capacity will be 20 players.
  • Will run for 15 sessions starting in mid October ending in February.
  • The cost is $400 per player.
  • Each player will receive a sweater and pair of socks.
  • Unfortunately, physical devices (wheelchairs/walkers or other such devices) are not permitted on the ice.
  •  Program will run 15 sessions with a consistent repeating schedule as possible.
  •  Our goal this season will be to develop a group of kids as hockey players and eventually work up to playing exhibition games against Thunder teams.
  •  Volunteers to assist on and off the ice are desperately needed.
