Minor Atom, 2013-2014, BB (Halton Hills Minor Hockey)

As it is now mid March and the Minor Atom AE Thunder are about to start a battle for the Tri-County Championships it might be a good time to take a look back and see what got us here.

March 5, 2014 Game Halton Hills Thunder vs. Center Wellington Fusion Game 6: Tri County Playoffs Score:  6 – 0 Author:  Ruth Reid This was the last game of the Tri County playoffs for the Thunder and Fusion.  The Thunder was in second place and this game would give them a tie for first plus home ice advantage for the Championship round.   

March 4, 2014 Game Halton Hills Thunder vs. Stoney Creek Warriors  Game 5: Tri County Playoffs Score:  5 – 2 Author:  Ruth Reid Given the last game, the Thunder needed to move forward and win this.  The Tri County Championship spot was on the line.  This was a must win…

March 2, 2014 Game Halton Hills Thunder vs. Hespeler Shamrock Score:  1 – 2 Author:  Ruth Reid Well this is a tough one for sure.  If there was Irish luck…Hespeler had it for sure!  They were dressed in shamrocks and green from head to toe.  This was their final game and they were going all out. February 28, 2014 Game Halton Hills Thunder vs. Flamborough Sabres Game 3: Tri County Playoffs Score:  4 – 1 Author:  Ruth Reid Flamborough had won all their games to date and this was a key game for us to show we meant business….as we entered the third period we showed them just that…we wanted this game!  The first 2 periods were evenly matched with each team testing the other.  There were strong attempts to get to the net on both sides with no success.
