Bradford Blue and Gold
Thunder came home with Silver!
Congratulations to the team for their excellent effort in the Bradford Blue and Gold Tournament. After two wins the first day on Friday against North York (1-0) and Waterloo (6-1) they had two more the following day. Mustering as much gas as possible out of the tank after the House League games on Saturday morning they tied Don Mills (1-1) but it was enough for second place in the round robin and showing in the semi-finals.
The entire team, after a good night of rest, rallied and came ready to play on Sunday; showing some of their best efforts to date. The semi final game was against Kitchener with a hard fought, come from behind victory in the last 30 seconds of the game, they advanced to the finals against the undefeated Hamilton Huskies.
Again, the team played hard in the final game, but lost 3-1. The good news is, they never gave up and had a ton of fun. They also scored the only goal against Hamilton the entire tournament.
Looking forward to the next one!
