Andrew Reddeman
Coach
Andrew Reddeman
Andrew Reddeman Bio
Andrew Reddeman has been an asset to Halton Hills Minor Hockey since 2013, coaching various levels and contributing significantly towards the growth of young athletes in the community. Andrew co-coaches the U18 BB Red team today, where his commitment and devotion to his players' development continue to shine through. Over the years, his teams have achieved an outstanding rate of success, including winning several tournaments and reaching OMHA finals during the 2016-2017 season. His coaching achievement also includes a Tri-County championship in the 2019-2020 season.
Andrew's coaching journey began long before he started working with his two sons playing hockey and other sports. He himself began in hockey as a goaltender at the young age of 10, an experience that has shaped his perspective on the game in a distinct way. He values the importance of a solid defensive foundation and believes that "good defense leads to great offense." This mindset guides his coaching philosophy, instilling discipline, organization, and team play in his players.
One of Andrew's finest moments as a coach was having the opportunity to sit on the bench with his son, a memory that reinforced the close bond they share through the game. It was a special moment that touched both the joy of coaching and the pride of seeing his son develop as a player.
Andrew works on the philosophy, "Attitude gets you there." To him, the correct attitude, hard work, determination, and a positive attitude is the formula for success in hockey and life. This attitude is what guides his coaching philosophy and how he relates to his players, so they know that success is a result of effort and perseverance.
As a non-parent coach, Andrew is deeply committed to being more than a coach he sees himself as a mentor and educator. He is committed to developing young athletes, not only their ability, but their individual development as well. His goal is to pass on his experience, love of the game, and dedication to hard work to the next generation of hockey players.
Andrew's coaching philosophy is based on building confidence, team spirit, and a deep understanding of the game. His commitment to the on-ice and off-ice success of his players makes him a respected and highly regarded member of the Halton Hills Minor Hockey community.
