Scott Buist - Bio

I grew up in Georgetown, where my love for hockey began at an early age. Playing rep hockey throughout my youth, and continuing at a high level into my late teens. During these formative years, I was fortunate to be mentored by several influential coaches who left a lasting impact on me and my approach to the game.

I am now excited to give back and hopefully have the same impact on young players today.   A strong passion for coaching and athletics led me to a 5+ year career where I was able to merge the two and hone my leadership skills. I've recently had amazing experiences coaching young athletes in a variety of sports including lacrosse, baseball and soccer. 

My coaching philosophy centres on creating a safe, fun, and encouraging environment where young players can thrive. By fostering their love of the game I aim to help players grow both individually and as a team, emphasizing the importance of personal skill development, teamwork, and the competitive aspects of sports.  ×
