Thunder even series 1-1!
Despite falling behind 3-0 in the first period The Trends Minor Midget Thunder kept their composure and showed great "sticktuativeness", coming from behind to win 6-4 in Niagara Falls on Saturday night. Two second period goals from Jack Reid and Ben Mondou made it close heading to the third period 3-2. Ethan Valade scored two minutes into the third on the PP converting a "sick feed" cross crease pass from Mondou.
With 8 minutes to Halton Hills got into penalty trouble and Niagara regained the lead, then with 5 minutes to play Nick Theim banged in a rebound to tie it up again at 4's.

Adding to the drama Halton Hills took two penalty's late giving Niagara a long 5 on 3 opportunity with three minutes remaining. Goaltender Cody Hunter and the Thunder PK stood tall, with a huge kill. Valade fresh out of the penalty box picked up a loose puck in the slot and buried a high shot for the winner. Dylan Verboon added the empty netter and Halton Hills tied the series 1-1.

Game  3 is Wednesday night 8:45 on Acton A.
