Frustrating Night at Alcott!
The Sunny Acre Fams Midgets lost game one of their best of five with Milton 4-2 in front of a relative small crowd at Alcott last night. With a game plan of "keeping it simple" "being disciplined" and ``don`t beat yourselves``getting thrown out the window early. The Thunder proceeded to take 10 first period penalties and were lucky get out of the first period only down 1-0.
Apparently not learning their lesson, and getting frustrated with calls not going their way the second period was no better. With five players in the box serving too may overlapping penalties to count the Thunder penalty kill did their best to keep it close. Three long 5 on 3's were killed, and Tyler Skilling scoring on a penalty shot made it 3-1 Milton after two.

Midway through the Third Nick Boshart, from Skilling got The Thunder to within one goal. In between a couple more penalty kills Halton Hills had chances but were unable to tie it up. Milton scored into the empty net to win game one 4-2. Spencer McPherson stopped 38 of 41 Milton shots and gave his team a chance.

Racking up 44 minutes in penalties and multiple suspensions the Thunder head to Milton tomorrow to play game 2 of the series.
