Midgets win 4-2 to even up series!
The Sunny Acre Farms Midgets evened up their series with Guelph 4-2, in front of a big crowd last night at Alcott. Ryan Leslie, called up from minor midget went "bardownski" and got the Thunder on the board in the first. Then Moneypenny with the "undresserofthetendy" gave the Thunder a 2-0 lead. After Guelph cut the lead to 2-1 midway through the second, Tyler Skilling "Rip Daddy Exploding Waterbottle" to give the home squad the 3-1 lead at the intermission. (Just reading the stats sheet)
The Gryphons made it close with three minutes to play as they scored to make it 3-2, but after a couple timely saves by netminder Tyler Wise, Braydon O'Connell iced it with an empty net goal after an unselfish play by Jeremy Roach to set him up.
Next game is game 1 vs. the Hawks on Friday night in Caledon.
