Bell Sensplex Capital Mid Season Showdown Champions
The Atom A team travelled to Ottawa this past weekend to compete in the Bell Sensplex Capital Mid Season Showdown. The team played solid through the round robin games, finishing 2nd overall in a group of 10 teams to advance to the semi finals on Sunday.
Playing the hometown team the Stittsville Rams, the team played hard defeating the Rams 4-0 earning the spot in
the Championship game against the Brantford 99ers.
Tying the Rams during the round robin 1-1, Thunder knew they had a tough game ahead of them. But the kids hit the ice showing they came to Ottawa to win. Fast offence, solid defence and the golden gloves of both goalies, led the Thunder to a 6-1 victory over the Rams.
