Midgets end season with tie in Niagara
The Sunny Acre Farms Midgets ended their regular season last night in Niagara Falls. They played a strong defensive 44 minutes but were unable to finish off the Home team Flyers as they scored twice in the final minute to earn a 2-2 tie. Niagara took advantage of two late penalty calls scoring one in the final minute 6 on 3 and then to tie the game 6 on 4 with 15 seconds to play.
Scoring for Halton Hills was Jeff Brown and Mackenzie Chalmers, Brown and Tommy Garron earning assists.
The Thunder finish the season tied for third place and will play Caledon and either Niagara or Oakville in the round robin portion of the playoffs, stay tuned for playoff schedule starting next week.
