Brampton Clinches First Place!
The Sunny Acre Farms Midgets suffered a 2-1 loss to Brampton last night at Earnscliffe. The win clinches first place in the Midget Bowen Division for the 45's. Brampton grabbed a 1-0 lead in the first and held until midway through the second when Tommy Garron scored on a breakaway assisted by Sam Gates. The game remained tied until Brampton scored on a faceoff play with 4 minutes to play in the third. Thunder goaltender Andrew Hrycaj played well stopping 27 of 29 shots in the loss.
The Thunder travel to Niagara Falls tonight to play their last regular season game vs. the Flyers.
